Preston Felton is President and Chief Executive Officer of Felton Group LLC, a full-service private investigation and consulting firm. He is a former New York State Trooper with 27 years of law enforcement experience as well as a total of over forty years’ experience in law enforcement, security and investigations. During his service with the State Police, he served in numerous positions ranging from road trooper through Acting Superintendent. He spent the bulk of his career in field assignments, including service as an Investigator, Lieutenant and Captain in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and as a Major-Troop Commander in Troop “NYC”, New York City. From 2001 until 2003 he served as the Director of Human Resources and from 2003 until 2007 as First Deputy Superintendent. In 2007 he was named by the Governor of New York to serve as Interim and Acting Superintendent, a job he held until 2008.

Mr. Felton received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marist College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. in 1984 and his Master of Public Administration Degree from Marist College, in 1998. He is a graduate of the 177th session of the prestigious FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He is actively involved in his community, serving in the past as a Commissioner on the Orange County Human Rights Commission from 2005-2008 and on numerous Not-for-Profit Boards.

Mr. Felton is a longtime member in good standing with the following professional organizations. The FBI National Academy Associates, New York State Association of Chiefs of Police, New York Fraternal Order of Police, Association of Licensed Detectives of New York State, Society of Professional Investigators and Association of Former New York State Troopers.
